Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera Leaks Out Hours Before Official Unveiling
March 2, 2010

This just leaked out moments ago, a few hours before the debut of the Lamborgini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera at Geneva Motor Show. The sibling to the Murcielago SV, the new Superleggera will carry some distinctive visual cues like loud colours, swoopy graphics, a large wing, and the black lower-body trim.
Obviously nothing is known but unofficial numbers are claiming 570hp, a 0-100km/h sprint time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 325km/h. The former Superleggera puts out 530hp, hits 100km/h in 3.8 seconds and maxes out at 317km/h. More information on this really soon.
Leaked: 2011 Porsche Cayenne
February 25, 2010

Yesterday a couple of scanned magazine photos made way to the Internet and revealed the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne but now, a whole batch of official images of the completely redesigned SUV has just been uploaded to the World Wide Web.
Well nothing can be confirmed until we see the real thing but based on these images it seems as if Porsche’s most profitable model looks a lot less clumsy and sleeker than it’s predecessor thanks to a lowered roofline, steeper rear tailgate and a sharper front snout. Read more

2011 Porsche Cayenne Accidentally Teased on Porsche Site
February 18, 2010

Porsche is too big of a company and headed by too many smart people to have made a simple mistake as this so I’m guessing it’s safe to say that Porsche has revealed it’s latest 2011 Cayenne. But the image has since been removed and replaced with the current Cayenne suggesting that a mistake could have happened but it was too late as a keen eyed visitor took screenshots and now the news is buzzing around the world. Leaked: Some Information On The Next-Generation BMW M5
January 10, 2010

The 2011 BMW M5 F10 is not scheduled for release till later on in the year, I’m guessing it will be somewhere in the third quarter of the year but thanks to CAR Magazine, we now have some juicy details on the F10 M5. According to them, the new M5 will be 0.3 seconds quicker to the 100km/h mark than the outgoing E60 M5.
The new M5 will also receive a significant boost in power and torque achieved by the clever use of the new 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine that replaces the mighty and very lovable 5-liter V10 of the E60 M5. As seen in the X5M and the X6M, the new engine is capable of some pretty fun numbers; 578hp is achievable without a fuss while torque figures in the new M5 increases by 40% from 380lb-ft to 531lb-ft (!!). We’ve been hearing about it for nearly a year now but the rumours are still persistent and the latest gossips are yet again saying the same thing; the RX-8 is about to phased out to make way for the revival of the RX-7. The relatively more expensive and slow-selling RX-8 never really went down well with Mazda fans and the bosses at the Japanese car-maker realise this and that’s exactly what the next generation RX-7 is looking at rectifying. 2011 Subaru Coupe: Renderings and Details
October 28, 2009

We’ve already seen the Toyota FT-86 concept but hardly anything has been said or shown about the Subaru twin. Till now. Japan’s Best Car magazine has come up with these speculative renderings of the Subaru coupe and it’s looking good. Accompanying these images are rumours of the Subaru retaining it’s traditional all-wheel-drive setup and a turbocharged boxer engine.
If you’re not surprised by these rumours, lets go back to when Toyota and Subaru first announced they were working on a mutual model. The two Japanese automakers made it clear back then that both models will feature a rear-wheel-drive setup. Read more
Report: Porsche Panamera Convertible In The Works
October 9, 2009

According to rumours posted online, Porsche is looking to produce a Panamera Convertible. That may not sound right as the Panamera is a four-door saloon but in the best interest of of keeping some semblance of chassis rigidity, Porsche is going with a two-door, four-seat convertible. Two doors will also help keep the weight down but there’s a nagging question, why a convertible Panamera?
Porsche Development Chief Wolfgang Duerheimer told Automobilwoche, “We have a broad range of 14 derivatives of the 911 that are very succesful, so it stands to reason we should diversify the lineup for the Panamera as well.”
But the chop may not end there, considering that Volkswagen now owns Porsche, the Panamera platform could be used for a number of other products like say the next Bentley Continental GT being built off a Porsche chassis instead of the Phaeton or A8. Or how about the Panamera chassis being used to build the Lamborghini Estoque. An unnamed VW board member recently commented, “the new Porsche Panamera offers the potential for synergies.” We’re just wondering though, what kind of synergies and how far will the Panamera chassis go?
