Lexus to introduce harder and faster LF-A to be called the ‘Nurburgring’

March 16, 2010

It was only a matter of time before this happened, it has long been rumoured that Lexus will be offering several variations of its LF-A supercar and this is the first to be released, a lightweight, stripped, harder and faster LF-A (as if the standard LF-A wasn’t fast already but I guess there’s no such thing as fast enough).

According to reports, the new LF-A will be called the Nurburgring edition – paying homage to the legendary track where the LF-A cut its proverbial teeth. The new LF-A is said to benefit from a large, fixed rear wing, a splitter up front, a stiffer and more adjustable suspension, lightweight alloys, and an increase of 10hp likely derived from a revised exhaust system. If this turns out to be true, then the difference between the FT-86 and the Subaru Coupe will be limited to aesthetics only. Read more

2010 Bahrain Grand Prix Video Summary

March 15, 2010

A great video summary of the season opener race at Bahrain this past weekend thanks to the guys over at axis of oversteer. Many are saying that the race was boring and the ban on refueling has made it less interesting and I definately have to agree on that. Ferrari and Mclaren benefited from Vettel’s RB6 suffering from a power loss due to a exhaust problem, the two Championship winning teams picking up precious points in the process. Current World Champion had a quiet race and finished in P7 where else Formula One legend Michael Schumacher finished ahead in P6 behind his younger and less experienced team mate, Nico Rosberg. Check out the video above for highlights. Read more
