Review: Goodyear Formula Drift Singapore

So we continue our reviews of the previous rounds of Formula Drift as we anticipate what’s going to happen at this weekends inaugural Malaysian round of Formula Drift. In the Singaporean round, Malaysians dominated the scene with the top eight drivers being all Malaysians. Tengku Djan took top spot, Johan Norman took second and Ariff Johanis took third. Goodyear Formula Drift Thailand: The Ladies

Driving Honda’s DNA – A Day Of Pushing Hondas To The Limit

Honda Malaysia recently hosted an adrenaline pumping test drive aptly themed Driving the Honda’s DNA in Sepang International Circuit. Conducted in four separate stages, the specially designed stages around the track were aimed at testing the maximum potential of Honda’s renowned i-VTEC engine, along with its advanced safety technology.

The unique test drive event was made up of two main categories: On Track and Advanced Driving.

On track, four models were put to test. Besides the much loved Civic Type R, a model that is literally born on track, the Accord, Civic and City were also prepared to prove their worth. The renowned race track became the testing ground for all four models’ acceleration, response to throttle, cornering ability, braking system as well as overall stability. The key impression in this track was high speed performance, so I took the Type R out first.

2009 Sepang Drag Battle – Final Round

This past weekends round 5 of the Sepang Drag Battle was also the final round of the year. So a lot was expected of it plus round 4 had proven to be a thriller, there was no reason round 5 shouldn’t be. So I thought, but that’s not how it turned out. The recent daily onslaught of freak weather and heavy rain didn’t let up and Sepang International Circuit was not spared. The wet situations didn’t help the dragsters so the start time had to be delayed, and that didn’t help with the mood which sadly was quiet.

2009 Sepang Drag Battle Rd.4 – 3000hp Dragsters and GTR’s

Round 4 of the 2009 Sepang Drag Battle was a great Halloween treat as driver’s tricked out their rides to conquer the 400 meter run. There were the usual suspects of Evo’s, Subaru’s, Honda’s and Proton’s in attendance but gracing the event were sub-10 second cars from Thailand that didn’t compete but were there to liven things up and the star of the show, also from Thailand, was of course the Goodyear dragster.
