This new masterpiece features a multitude of new and existing tech goodies such as:
- MULTIBEAM LED headlamps:
There are 84 individually controlled LEDs within each of the headlight pair that can precisely light up or dim any region in its beam path quickly and dynamically. All functions in the low-beam and high-beam is depicted digitally, without mechanical actuators.
- Active Brake Assist with autonomous braking
Autonomous braking function and situation-dependent braking assistance help to prevent the occurrence of accidents or lessen the consequences with vehicles in front and also crossing pedestrians.
- PRE-SAFE® System
Has safety measures that cleverly governs seat belt tensioners and the closing of windows in an event of oncoming danger or a crash. Because the LEDs operate individually, the beams can be controlled separately to either illuminate crucial spots, objects and signs or to dim the beam from oncoming traffic
- Nine-speed automatic transmission
All models will be equipped with the new 9G‑TRONIC 9-speed automatic and is Mercedes Benz’s most advanced transmission. Promising quick gear changes even in low engine revs, which is said to improve efficiency and noise levels.
- Active Suspension
All E-Class comes with Agility Control suspension that has selective damping and lowering to provide a balanced ride comfort and handling on any road surface. Dynamic Select switch in the cockpit allows the driver to select from four modes: “Comfort”, “ECO”, “Sport” and “Sport +”. The additional “Individual” option allows drivers to configure their vehicle to suit their own preferences.
- 64 colour Lighting atmosphere
A series of energy saving LED in the interior enhance ambient lighting with its ability to produce up to 64 colours, and a host of possibilities for personalisation. This ambient light feature adds touches of light to the trim parts, central display, front stowage facility on the centre console, handle recesses, door pockets, front and rear footwells, overhead console, and tweeters if the vehicle is equipped with the Burmester surround sound system
- Lightweight bodyshell
The new E-Class posses a plenty of aluminium and ultra-high-strength steel components than its predecessor. The front fenders, bonnet, boot lid, and large sections of the front and rear ends are made of sheet or cast aluminium. As a result, it reduces fuel consumption and adds to the agile vehicle handling.
