The GTC4Lusso packs all the latest technological blessings from the house of the Prancing Horse. It inherits four wheel drive from the FF and combines it with rear-wheel steering which is found on the hardcore F12, while there’s a new evolution of the Side Slip Control that makes the 488 GTB so fascinating. We’ll get to the Side Slip tech in a fee moments

In the interior Ferrari maintained its top of the line luxury feature such as fine handcrafted leather trims and seats. However, Ferrari has thrown in a new steering wheel design as well as a 10.25 inch high definition touchscreen infotainment to enhance overall touring experience.

The overall shape hasn’t changed a lot from the FF but there are some visible changes, especially the front and rear. At the front it has got new headlamps and the rear features the first quad tail lights on a Ferrari since the 612 Scaglietti.

Ferrari claims that the drag coefficient of the GTC4Lusso is “substantially lower” than that of the FF, thanks to improved aerodynamics that includes a new front grille with integrated air intakes, new air vents on the rear wing, a roof-mounted rear spoiler and a new diffuser.

The  GTC4Lusso is powered by the same 6.2-litre V12 engine already bolted to the FF, but with power raised from 651bhp to 680bhp, whiletorque is measured at 514lb ft at 5750rpm, with 80% of torque available from 1750rpm. The engine is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The GTC4Lusso will hit zeotohundred km/h in 3.4sec – 0.3sec faster than the FF.

As mentioned earlier, the GTC4Lusso gets rear-wheel steering for the first time. The new, improved system, dubbed 4RM-S, features Ferrari’s Slip Side Control setup, and works with the car’s electronic differential and dampers. Ferrari says the result means drivers can “effortlessly handle the GTC4Lusso’s extraordinary torque even on snow-covered, wet or low-grip roads.”

Maranello says the new GTC4Lusso is intended to target younger audience and will become the grand tourer of choice in the company’s range.

As for prices, we’ll have to wait till the launch of the GTC4Lusso at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
