Chevrolet introduces the new 2017 Corvette Grand Sport at Geneva!

It may not be packing a thousand-horsepower underneath the hood, but the new 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport is nevertheless an interesting addition into the already diverse Corvette family. Made available in both coupe and convertible, the Grand Sport is based on the C7 and gets a range of features that differentiates it from the base model.

For starters, it gets wider fenders, a Z07-style grille and 19/20-inch front/rear wheels, all wrapped up in 285/30(front)/335/25(rear) Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Stopping power is provided by a set of 14-inch rotors up front and 13.4-inch rotors at the rear.

The Grand Sport also comes with a sportier suspension setup as well as the Z51’s electronically controlled rear differential which are offered at no extra cost. But if one is looking for more, GM also offers the optional Z07 pack which comes with carbon ceramic brakes and Pilot Sport 2 Cup tires.

Lift up the long hood and you will find the standard 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that pushes out 460-horsepower. The engine can be mated to either a seven-speed manual with active rev match, or an eight-speed automatic with specific performance calibration and paddle shifters.

The new 2017 Corvette Grand Sport is currently stealing attentions at Geneva, and another variant called the Grand Sport Collector Edition will soon make an appearance to complete the line-up.
