If one would like to enter the supercar market of today, what does it take to have ones creation noticed by potential buyers worldwide? Sharp looks? Check. Massive power? Check. Sure, we have not seen this car in flesh and actually doing whatever the figures they claim to be, but things at least are going to the right direction for Arash with their 2,080-horsepower AF10.

This new British supercar marquee was founded by Arash Farboud and a couple of years back, they made a mid-engined supercar powered by a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 and had called it the AF8. Eyeing on cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia and the McLaren MP4-12C, they are now locking their sights on the big players like the Ferrari LaFerrari and the P1 with the new AF10.

Actually the AF10 has been around since 2010, but it was more of a proof of concept rather than volume proposition. In the original AF10, the LS7 V8 engine was made almost entirely out of carbon fiber. However in the updated AF10, it adopts a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that receives a boost of power from four electric motors.

The combustion engine itself is said to deliver 900-horsepower and 886 lb-ft of torque and as for the four electric motors which two can be found at each axle, delivers an unbelievable figure of 1,180-horsepower and 797 lb-ft! This means that the AF10 rolls on the streets with an amazing combined output of 2,080-horsepower!

The engine is paired to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic with paddle shifters, sending the power to the rear wheels. As for the electric motors, each is paired with a two-speed gearbox and forms an all-wheel drive system. Powering the electric motors is a 32-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery that could be recharged by recovered brake energy or directly by the engine.

Like McLaren, Arash uses a carbon fiber tub to form the core of the chassis with subframes attached on the front and rear, along with double wishbone suspension with adjustable dampers. The AF10 rolls on a set of 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires. They claim a zerotohundred time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of more than 320km/h.
