Some might have mixed feelings on the new Mazda MX-5’s looks, but we absolutely adore the KODO design language adopted by the little roadster. And since it is a hot car coming from Japan, it is only a matter of time before it is picked by a tuner and given some personalized touches to make it bolder than before.
And the tuner in mention here is none other than the widebody specialists at TRA Kyoto. We are not sure whether we should call this MX-5 ‘cute’ anymore as the widened fenders with exposed rivets had certainly given this car a better presence.
Scraping the roads with its lowered ride height, TRA Kyoto also added a couple more touches to add to the aggressiveness like the front and rear bumper lips, side skirts, roll bar, and not to forget that huge wing sitting in the back. Deep dish wheels are a must to finish off TRA Kyoto’s latest creation.
Nothing was stated of what runs under the hood, but one certainly needs a lot of power than what the MX5 rolls in stock form as the car now has to deal beefier tires and a more serious aero kit.
