Coming in the form of the famous Vauxhall Astra, this is your chance to own the car that had succeeded the Suzuki Liana, Chevrolet Lacetti and Kia Cee’d.
Of course, this Reasonably Priced Car was trashed multiple times around the Top Gear Test Track at the Dunsfold Aerodrome, but it was trashed by names like Hugh Jackman, Will Smith, Aaron Paul and Kiefer Sutherland. Surprisingly the one who lapped the fastest time around the track was Olly Murs with a time of 1 minute and 44.6 seconds.
According to the listing, the Astra has covered 4,680km and is powered by a 1.6-liter petrol engine that produces 115-horsepower. The car is finished in Power Red and is equipped with 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels. In order for the car to assume its task as a Reasonably Priced Car, it is fitted with Corbeau Sprint Racing front seats and a roll cage.
Unfortunately to fit the roll cage in, the airbags had to be disabled, so the car right now is not type-approved. The process is reversible but to bring the car to its original condition ‘would incur significant cost’. Last we checked, the highest bid stands at USD 12,082 and would probably climb in the next few days.
