The McLaren F1 is one of the greatest marvels in the automotive world. It not only looks good, the BWM-sourced 6.1-liter V12 is also a tower of power that was enough to earn the F1 the world’s fastest production car back in 1998 with a top speed of 391km/h with the limiter removed. With only 106 units produced, getting your hands on one is going to be extremely difficult, but this just might be your lucky day.

Famously known as Mr. Bean, Rowan Atkinson is an avid petrolhead and residing in his garage is one of the 72 road-going F1s made by McLaren. Owned by the actor since 1997, he was spotted numerous times driving the F1 quite often, and of course who could forget the rather serious accident he was involved in.

Nevertheless, he got the car stitched up with the help of McLaren and now the car has been spotted at London’s Taylor & Crawley dealership bearing an ‘on sale’ tag on it. Despite having clocked 41,000 miles (66,000km) on the odometer, dealership owner David Clark expects the car to garner a lot of attention for the fact that the car is really rare.

Clark also once worked at McLaren and is an owner of an F1 himself. He said that this particular car is almost like new because of the restoration work done on it. And with the repairs from the serious crash cost more than USD 1.4 million (RM 5 million) to bring the car back into one piece, one would expect the price to be higher than that; which is at USD 12 million (RM 43.23 million).

Any takers?
