In conjunction of the fifth annual Porsche Rennsport Reunion soon to be held on the 25 – 27 September at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Porsche has unveiled a limited edition model inspired by the event. It is called the 2016 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition and all of the 25 examples will only be sold in North America.
This new Rennsport Edition gets all the perks that the GTS gets on the brochure, but will also get a grey, black, and red colour scheme for both the exterior and interior. Finished in Fashion Grey on the outside, it is given black and red decals on the hood, roof, decklid and doors. The 20-inch wheels are given a gloss black treatment as well as the lower portions of the side mirrors.
On the inside, the dashboard is given a dash of carbon fiber and the door sill guard as well. The contrasting stitching on the SportDesign steering wheel, door panel trim, dashboard trim, floor mats and GTS logo headrests are in Carmine Red, a colour also found on the tachometer and seat belts.
Like all the GTS models, this one will also come with 18-way adaptive sports seats, the PASM sport suspension, a Bose audio system, and a whole range of other features. The 911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition comes with the 3.8-liter flat-six with 430-horsepower and only offered with a seven-speed manual transmission
