In the world of Gran Turismo, almost anything is possible and that includes Peugeot coming up with a supercar. The French manufacturer had finally unveiled the covers off their Vision Gran Turismo virtual racer designed specifically for the Gran Turismo 6 video game and if they somehow managed to turn the fictional figures into reality, we might be looking into something interesting here.

The car is described as “a high-performance endurance racer” and the body design is quoted to be enough to “effectively stick the car to the road”. The car is designed by Kazunori Yamauchi who was commissioned by Peugeot to design a car specifically to commemorate Gran Turismo’s 15th anniversary.

In the game, the car is powered by a mid-mounted 3.2-liter V6 turbocharged engine that makes out a massive 875-horsepower. Mated to a six-speed manual transmission which distributes the power to all four wheels, zerotohundred is rated at only 1.73 seconds as the car comes with a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio.

Riding on 22-inch wheels for the front and 23-inch for the rear, Peugeot describes the steering as “super responsive”. Stopping power is provided by a set of ventilated Brembo carbon discs measuring 380mm in the front and 337mm in the rear. The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo will be released as a part of a free update for Gran Turismo 6 and is exclusively available on the PS3 in six colour schemes.
