Mustang VS Murcielago, Vaughn VS Daigo in #BATTLEDRIFT!

5

In the world of drifting, we are more accustomed to seeing cars like the Nissan Silvias or Toyota AE86s going sideways and turning their rear tires into smoke. But internationally, the drift scenes have seen a lot of crazy cars turned into drift machines like the Dodge Viper and Chevy Camaro from United States, and the Lexus LFA in Japan.

Given its rear-wheel drive nature, it is not much of a surprise to see a Ford Mustang drifting its way out from a corner, especially when someone like Vaughn Gittin Jr. is behind the wheel. Powered by a V8 engine that produces 550-horsepower, we thought the sound emitted by this Stallion is one of the loudest; that is until the Lamborghini came along.

From the land that is full of surprises, accompanying the Mustang is the Lamborghini Murcielago which has been converted to become a full-on drift machine. Stripped off its all-wheel drive system, the V12 engine now sends all the 650-horsepower to the rear tires. Sounds a handful, but it is not a problem for someone like Daigo Saito to handle.

Taking place in Niigata, Japan, the duo faced off at an abandoned Russian village with lots of twisty roads. So we would recommend you to sit back, crank up the volume and enjoy the ride.
