Looking forward for in strengthening their presence in the Malaysian market, Lexus Malaysia had recently unveiled the new and updated ES to join their model line-up. Rest assured that the changes made by Lexus are not only in the cosmetic department and the new ES has been raking up orders ever since they opened it up for bookings.
“Order taking for the new Lexus ES began in late July 2015 and more than 100 unit orders have been received to date with the new Lexus ES250 Luxury variant being the most popular model. We target to sell 750 units of the ES by the end of this year and are confident of meeting our 2015 Lexus sales target of 2,200 units,” said the President of UMW Toyota Motor, Datuk Ismet Suki.
In meeting the high standards of the Malaysian market, Lexus is offering three variants of the new ES: the ES250 Premium, ES250 Luxury, and the ES300h. The hybrid ES300h will be powered by the Lexus Hybrid Drive system, which now comes with an 8 year hybrid warranty for added peace of mind.
Comparing to the previous generation, the most obvious change on the new ES is definitely the addition of the trademark Lexus spindle grille and the new LED headlamps.
The interior has also been given a makeover where the Birdseye Maple Wood Trim has been made standard for all variants. Safety is also a priority where the ES now comes with more safety features such as Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Hill Start Assist.
