Using the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show as their platform to mark the tenth anniversary of their launch in China, Lamborghini also used the opportunity to announce that their brand new Aventador super Veloce will be produced in a limited number of 600 units worldwide. The announcement was made by none other than the company CEO Stephan Winkelmann who was present at the ceremony.

The Aventador LP 750-4 SV made its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show two months ago and it is the fourth model to have been given the coveted “SV” badge. The previous models who had received the same honours were the Miura, Diablo and Murcielago.

The SV designation is only given to the most extreme models that Lamborghini offers, and the Aventador SV had gone through all the necessary modifications to make it worthy of bearing such badge. The massive V12 engine now produces 739-horsepower (or 750 in metric horsepower) and it is also 50kg lighter over the regular Aventador. Now with more power and less weight, the Aventador SV is capable of sprinting from zerotohundred in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of more than 350km/h.

‘‘This new car represents the perfect combination of Lamborghini’s expertise in lightweight engineering and sophisticated technical features,” said Winkelmann.

“The new Aventador SuperVeloce continues the Lamborghini tradition of SV models, pushing the boundaries in terms of performance and pure driving emotion.”
