Koenigsegg One:1 shines in the spotlight again with a 0-300-0 kmh record run!

After obliterating the production car lap record over at Suzuka circuit with an unofficial run of 2:17.57, Koenigsegg continues to bring their One:1 into the spotlight with another mind-boggling speed run. Most of Koenigsegg’s machines are well-known for its blistering acceleration and the superb braking power, so now it is time to put the One:1 to the test with a 0-300-0 run.

But to beat a record, one must refer to the previous record set for the category. Not surprisingly, it was the Agera R who had held the previous 0-300-0 record with a timing of 21.9 seconds. The Koenigsegg Agera R runs with 1,115-horsepower produced from the 5.0-liter V8 mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. So how did the One:1 did the run with more power coming from the engine?

Featuring a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio, the 1,341-horsepower One:1 did this record breaking run at just 17.95 seconds which is 3.24 seconds faster than the Agera R! The record run was conducted during a practice session at Koenigsegg’s 1.5km test track and with official Koenigsegg test driver Robert Serwanski behind the wheel.

The data collected during the session was using the industry standard VBox Data Recorder. Below is a list of all the metrics measured on the day:
