Infiniti introduces the new Q70 luxury sedan into Malaysia – prices start at RM 295K!

Introducing a new player in the luxury game, Infiniti Malaysia today takes the covers off their new flagship performance luxury sedan, the Q70, and at the same time extending their current line-up after the successful launch of the Q50 Premium Sports Sedan last year. The new Q70 perfectly embodies Infiniti’s core essences which are style, performance, luxury, craftsmanship and technology.

“We aim to offer to those who won’t settle for ordinary. To those who live, breathe extraordinary and dare to be different; reach for the exceptional with the New Infiniti Q70,” said Mr. Michael Cope, Senior Regional Manager, Asia & Oceania, INFINITI Motor Ltd.

Infiniti is giving a shot in separating themselves from the traditional European luxury sedans through the muscular, expressive design language. The new Q70 gets a set of sinister LED headlights, topped off with Infiniti’s signature chrome double-arch grille with waved mesh pattern. It also has a new sporty front bumper and integrated LED fog lights.

Over to the rear, the new LED combination lights give the Q70 a sportier presence as well as the large dual exhausts with polished tips, a new trunk lid shape with chrome rear finishers and a rear bumper design with new details.

_DSC0321_DSC0341 _DSC0328Infiniti has also engineered the Q70 to be as luxurious as it can be on the interior, focusing on the individual driving the car. The driver sits in a quilted leather-appointment, climate controlled, 10-way power seat while the front passenger’s seat with 2-way power lumbar support comes as standard. There is also a dual occupant memory system for the driver’s seat, steering wheel and outside mirror – which can be linked to the individual Intelligent Keys. The key can also remember the last used climate control and audio as well.

There are three variants of the Q70 offered by Infiniti, starting with the 2.5-liter V6 which comes with 218-horsepower and 253Nm mated to a Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS). The second one would be the larger 3.7-liter V6 with a higher output of 320-horsepower and 360Nm of torque paired up with the Variable Valve Event & Lift system (VVEL), but the range-topping model here is the 3.5-liter V6 Hybrid model which gets a combined output of 360-horsepower and 350Nm of torque. The hybrid model features a 1-motor, 2-clutch parallel hybrid powertrain and zerotohundred is dealt with in less than six seconds.

The new Q70 is equipped with 6-airbags; front air bags, front seat-mounted side impact supplemental air bags, and standard roof-mounted curtain side impact supplemental air bags for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection.

Also included are Pre-Crash front seatbelts with pre-tensioners and load limiters which tighten the seatbelts in certain braking situations while the Active Front Head Restraints help to cushion the head in reducing whiplash-type injuries.  Total occupant protection through Zone Body construction with laser welding at critical locations, front and rear crumple zones and Child safety ISOFIX System.

Available for viewing and test drives at Infiniti Center Kuala Lumpur from 10th June, the Q70 2.5L is priced at RM 295,000, 3.7L at RM 375,000 and 3.5L Hybrid at RM 420,000. All the prices stated here are the on-the-road prices inclusive of GST (without insurance).
