Attention Honda owners! Following the massive recall that Honda is currently making in various parts of the world, Honda Malaysia has taken the initiative to commence a precautionary update for 87,182 units of Honda vehicles in Malaysia. This precautionary exercise is necessary in order to replace the driver and passenger airbag inflators with newly produced inflators of all affected models.
The range of models affected is as of stated below:
- City (2003 YM – 2008 YM)
- Civic (2003 YM – 2008 YM)
- CR-V (2002 YM – 2007 YM)
- Jazz (2004 YM – 2006 YM)
- Stream (2004 YM – 2005 YM)

The precautionary efforts launched by Honda Malaysia here do not affect Honda’s current selling models. As of for the time being, there were no crashes or injuries related to this issue reported in Malaysia. Honda Malaysia deeply regrets the inconvenience caused and will be informing all customers involved via notification letters. Those who have received these letters are advised to send their vehicles to the nearest authorized Honda dealer for inspection.
