Clarkson, Hammond and May will appear with a new show on Amazon Prime!

Let’s face it; the trio of former Top Gear UK presenters were not the most factual or technical presenters when going on air. But if you are looking for a good laugh that involves wheels and plenty of horsepower, they are the guys that you should tune in to. Unfortunately the departure of the iconic trio from Top Gear has left us wanting for more of their crazy antique as they bid goodbye to the world of automotive entertainment. Or is it?

It seems that Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May would not be giving up that easily as the trio will be coming up with a brand new car show! There was once an issue that they are prohibited by BBC in coming up with a similar-typed show for a rivalling TV channel, but they got around that pretty easily by signing a deal with Amazon. Those cheeky b…blokes.

As for the time being, they have yet to come up with a name for their new show. But production for the new show will start shortly and will air exclusively on Amazon’s video streaming platform, Amazon Prime. And if that is not assuring enough for you, another good news comes in the form of the trio’s commitment in a three-season deal!

We understand that since they are no longer working with the BBC, some of you might be worried that this new show might be a little bit different since the guys behind the scenes are no longer the usual ones. But in making sure that such does not happen, Top Gear’s former executive producer Andy Wilman will also be involved in the venture.

Reacting to the announcement, Clarkson stated: “I feel like I’ve climbed out of a bi-plane and into a spaceship”. May added: “We have become part of the new age of smart TV. Ironic, isn’t it?” And as for Hammond: “Amazon? Oh yes. I have already been there. I got bitten by a bullet ant.”
