The unveiling of the much-awaited BMW M6 GT3 was met with open arms, especially when BMW has teased the car in numerous occasions throughout the year. However, the new GT3 race car was not the only entry that BMW brought to Frankfurt as they also introduced the new M6 Competition to the world as well.
Before you think that this is just another fancy, dressed up variant of the original version, this is not the case. The M6 Competition’s 4.4-liter V8 turbo engine now gets an increase of 40-horsepower and 20Nm of torque, bringing the output to 600-horsepower and 700Nm of torque. And with the M Driver’s Package equipped, zerotohundred takes only 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km/h.
On the outside, the Alpine White exterior is given the iconic M stripe on various parts of the body. The M6 Competition is fitted with 20-inch M alloys, and the kidney grille, door handles and side gills are given the black chrome treatment. Dashes of carbon fiber can also be found on the mirror caps, diffuser and spoiler.
As for the inside, the interior is bathed in leather and given contrasting stitching. The M6 Competition letterings can be found on various parts like the door sills and the cup holder lid. With a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, more carbon fiber parts can be found like on the interior trim strips, gear selector and steering wheel spokes.
