With Audi recently introducing the new TT onto our shores, the new car has been generating quite a number of interests all around. But with Worthersee being just around the corner, the Four Rings have prepared a special build for those making their way to the event. This special build comes in the form of a new concept of the TT called the Clubsport Turbo Concept.

With all the race car vibe coming from this concept, Audi has loaded this TT with quite a dosage of steroids to make it not only stand up but also having the grunt to go with it. The main highlight would definitely be the engine as instead of finding a four-cylinder powering this concept, it houses a bi-turbo 2.5-liter five-cylinder TFSI engine that produces 600PS and 479 lb-ft of torque.

Zerotohundred is now dealt in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 310km/h. It is also fitted with an e-turbo that allows the car to cover 16 meters in two and a half seconds instead of 6 meters without it.

But if you are looking forward in finding this engine in this upcoming TT-RS, that might be a bit of a longshot as it is mostly unlikely to take place. However development chief Ulrich Hackenberg described the technology as being “close to production readiness”.

The Audi TT Clubsport Turbo concept weighs 1,396kg and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission that sends power to a permanent quattro all-wheel drive system. The 20-inch six twin-spoke alloys are wrapped around in 275/30 tires. Braking power is provided by a set of carbon ceramic units.

This concept is also 14cm wider compared to the regular TT and comes with a manually adjustable rear CFRP wing developed from the Audi TT Sport Cup. The occupants are kept safe inside with a protective cage made out of ultra-high strength titanium tubes while the race-spec lightweight seats feature a four-point harness.

It is also fitted with an e-turbo that allows the car to cover 16 meters in two and a half seconds instead of 6 meters without it. Shouldn't it be the other round? With e-turbo, car covers 6 meters in 2 1/2 seconds instead of 16 meters without it.
