Despite being labelled as a stylish brand and often referred to as Bond’s ride, Aston Martin is also actively spreading their wings in the realms of motorsports. With their race cars making appearances in major events like the 24 Hours of Le Mans and even those close to home like the GT Asia series, Aston Martin is ready to share their vast experience on the track and use it to create their most extreme road car ever.
Set to take stage at the Geneva Motor Show, the model mentioned here is the Vantage GT3 which is derived directly from their V12 Vantage GT3 race car. Aston Martin has yet to release any sort of information on this new model and its teaser video does not really give that many hints as it mostly shows the race car in action on tracks like the Nordschleife.
From what we can speculate, the road-going GT3 will surely be lighter with weight-saving measures and plenty of carbon fiber being used in the construction. The V12 engine should also receive numerous upgrades to put it ahead of the current V12 Vantage S that packs 565-horsepower.
