Although KTM is a well-known brand in the two-wheeled world, their attempt in making something with four wheels did resulted in something interesting. The X-Bow not only looks cool but it is also a fun track day toy for those who can afford it. And if there is ever anyone thinking that it could use a bit more power, no worries as Wimmer is here to save the day.
This German-based tuner has prepped extensive upgrade packages for three variants of the X-Bow; the GT, R and RR. Starting with the GT, the four-cylinder 2.0-liter Audi-sourced engine has been fitted with a modified turbocharger, optimized high compression pump and bespoke exhaust. These had boosted up the original 285-horsepower and 310 lb-ft output to 485-horsepower and 383 lb-ft. This is enough to push the GT from zerotohundred in less than four seconds with a top speed of 257km/h.
Similar upgrades have been given to the R and this grants it more power from 300-horsepower and 295 lb-ft to 455-horsepower and 369 lb-ft. With a top speed of 248km/h, it is available with an optional reinforced gearbox with sports clutch, uprated differential and some chassis tweak.
Finally, the track-focused RR gets a 10-horsepower boost to 370-horsepower and comes with a price tag of USD 137,000 which includes some upgrades on the chassis and aerodynamics.
