Nissan was not the only one taking the Goodwood stage to display their Gran Turismo concept car as Aston Martin also has something to pull the crowd. On what looks oddly similar to Ford’s GT90, the DP-100 is the British marquee’s take on how their mid-engined supercar will be like.

With a huge range of gran tourers in Aston Martin’s line up, the DP-100 brings a fresh breath into their design. The DP-100 is supposedly to be powered by a mid-mounted twin turbocharged V12 engine that pushes out around 800-horsepower which assumingly goes to the rear wheels. This is totally something new in Aston Martin as they have neither a mid-engined supercar in their range, as well as a turbocharged model.

“When I first came face to face with this car at the Aston Martin Headquarters in Gaydon, UK, I was at a loss for words seeing the level of perfection in its design. I was surprised by the bold proposal of the car being the first midship layout model in Aston Martin history. And while it is clean and classy in design, it is also very emotional. Not only that, there was this future Aston Martin in front of me, that was so detailed it could be released on the market pretty much as is,” said the creator of Gran Turismo, Kazunori Yamauchi, about the car.
