The 2015 Subaru WRX STI Officially Unveiled, features a 305BHP 2.5-liter Turbo Engine!

We might have already seen the leaked pictures of the new 2015 Subaru WRX STI on the net, but it would not hurt for us to serve more of this new boxer machine. With the car now officially unveiled at the recent Detroit Auto Show, the range-topping Subaru WRX STI will only be available on the market exclusively as a sedan.

With a new bodykit and a massive rear wing, the new 2015 WRX STI is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine that churns out 305BHP at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 290 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm.

The engine is mated with a six-speed manual gearbox that sends the power to the symmetrical all-wheel drive system with a multi-mode driver-controlled center mechanical differential. The 18-inch alloy wheels are wrapped around in 245/40 R18 performance tires, with the inverted-strut front suspension promising improved handling.

If you fancy this new STI and love it even more in the iconic WR Blue paint and gold BBS wheels, then you better pay extra attention here. Subaru will only offer those options plus a bespoke cabin and an STI short-shifter on the Launch Edition, and only 1,000 of such units will be built. So far they had yet to release a price tag on the Launch Edition, but we do know that it will be available from April onwards.
