Renault Teases their New Megane RS in this #UNDER8 Video?

The pursuit to top the charts of the Nurburgring lap times does not only concern supercars like the new McLaren P1 or the Porsche 918 Spyder. The battle amongst the front-wheeled hatchbacks has also been a hot topic with SEAT recently taking the top spot after being dominated long by Renault, but it seems that the French are not going to give up that easily.

Releasing a new video with a hashtag of #UNDER8, it seems that Renault is not going to seat back at let SEAT reign supreme. Teasing us with some footage of what might be the next Megane RS, Renault is also getting some help from the famed exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic in building this new machine.

The Megane RS is already jam pack with goodies even in stock form. Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, it has 261-horsepower sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. Zerotohundred takes about six seconds and has a top speed of 254km/h.

But while developing this new Megane RS, Renault had better be accounting Honda in the picture as well as they have also been busy in developing their new and turbocharged Civic Type-R.
