Porsche To Develop Pajun ; Tesla Model S Fighter!

The Porsche Panamera isn’t exactly the 4 door premium sedan we would expect from Porsche, as it is a tad bit too bulky and not quite nimble enough. So, Porsche’s next foray into the premium sedan segment is bound to raise an eyebrow or two. This time, the much rumoured Porsche Pajun will be going head to head against the likes of the most famous electric sedan, the Tesla Model S.

Sure, Porsche does have the 918 Spyder as their halo car (for now), but the 918 Spyder is strictly a limited run car, with it getting sold out pretty soon. Other Porsche models are purely petrol or diesel powered. The rumoured Porsche Pajun is said to share the same platform as the next generation Porsche Panamera, and will sport around 420 horses. This should give the Pajun a nice competitive edge over the Tesla Model S, and with a Porsche emblem, the car is bound to be good.

Besides power, the Porsche Pajun is expected to have an effective range of slightly over 400 km on a single charge. The Pajun will also feature extensive usage of hot-formed, high strength steel and aluminium for added strength, while targeted to be lighter than the Model S’s 2 tonne plus weight. Besides that, Porsche is expected to be partnering with Audi to develop the batteries for the Pajun.
