Giving a quick peek before its debut at the 2014 Paris Auto Show, Peugeot uncovered their special edition model of the 208 GTi to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Peugeot’s GTi badge. But unlike most special edition models that just feature an updated exterior and some styling upgrades, this little Pug comes with more than that.

This 208 GTi 30th Anniversary has been blessed with more power, where the 1.6-liter THP petrol engine has been tinkered to produce 208-horsepower and 300Nm of torque. Mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, it also features a Torsen limited-slip differential lifted from the RCZ R and specific suspension and steering settings, giving it a livelier driving experience.

With the upgrades, the zerotohundred sprint takes just 6.5 seconds and has commendable mid-range acceleration from 80km/h to 120km/h in just 6 seconds. Even with such performance, Peugeot claims that the CO2 emissions are only 125g/km.

A more aggressive presence is achieved through the 10mm lower suspension, widened track (22mm front, 16mm rear), a set of 18-inch matte black rims and a matte black grille surround, side skirts, wheel arch extensions, and door mirror caps. To finish it off, the car gets a two-tone paintjob identical to the 308 R Concept, but Peugeot said that the car will only be available in Pearl White and Ruby Red.
