The new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG is such a hit especially in Malaysia where it now roams our streets in big numbers. And Mercedes is still not done with the CLA as they had recently unveiled their fourth “high-performance compact car” in the form of the CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake.
Basically it is pretty much similar to the regular CLA 45, but the Shooting Brake offers extra headroom for the rear passengers and additional cargo space of 495 litres – 1354 litres with the rear seats folded down. Powering the car is still the same 2.0-liter turbocharged engine making out 355-horsepower, sending it to all four wheels. Zerotohundred is dealt with in 4.7 seconds.
The reason why Mercedes decided to make a Shooting Brake version of the CLA 45 AMG is because neither the Audi A3 nor the BWM 1-series offers such option to their customers so far. The CLA Shooting Brake is very closely aligned with the CLA saloon and shares a lot of similarity including the pricing and the specification line-up.
The CLA 45 AMG is not the only Shooting Brake available as Mercedes is offering other engine options which overall consists of two diesel engines (CLA 200 CDI 4Matic and CLA 220 CDI 4Matic) and four petrol engines. Four trim levels are offered: Sport, AMG Sport, Engineered by AMG, and AMG.
