The Malaysian Super Series is into the fourth run, for this year. Today (12/9/14) isn’t strictly a race day, as it’s mostly for drivers to get a free run and get used to the track. For Daniel Woodroof, it’ll be his qualifying run. Daniel would be qualifying in the Asia Cup series driving a BMW FB02 race car, numbered 16.
But before we touch on Daniel’s progress, here are some shots of the GT Asia cars that will be competing.
Oh, by the way, our TimeToAttack stickers has also found their way onto a new home. This time around, keep your eyes peeled for the Fun88 Racing Lamborghini Gallardo (#89). The Gallardo will be sporting our TimeToAttack stickers on the rear quarter panel and on the front splitter.
Looks good? We really do think so too! In fact, you could also order some of those stickers on our online store here.
Other than the GT Asia cars, the Touring Car Series Asia was also present. Do check out the following shots.
Back to Daniel’s progress. His qualifying was after the Classic Mini Championship’s free run, at 1545 hrs. Daniel’s position for qualifying was at P1, and he had a good lead with the fastest lap times for the first few laps. Further into the qualifying, he dropped to third position, with 2:16:346 as his fastest lap time. Daniel mentioned that the BMW FB02 is much easier to handle than the Formula Masters race car. Besides that, debris from previous race proved to be an issue. He will be placed behind Colton Herta and Jake Parsons during the race.
Check out the shots of Daniel in action below.
Daniel Woodroof’s next race would be on Saturday, at 0900 hrs. The next race would be at 1455 hrs. On Sunday, the Asia Cup Series will start at 0950 hrs for race 3 and race 4 begins at 1430 hrs.
