Word on the street is – apparently Apple is trying to acquire Tesla for its future ventures and possibilities of endeavouring into the automotive market. Is it true though? Well, as it seems paparazzi spies has eyes everywhere and that last spring, Apple’s merger and acquisition chief had a secret meeting with Founder and CEO of Tesla; Elon Musk. So many questions are raised from this but the main one remains.. Why is Apple trying to acquire a car company?

In the long line of future planning – Apple’s Founder, the late Steve Jobs did mention before his death that at some point he would like the company to produce an ‘iCar’. In the quest of fulfilling this dream, perhaps this is one of the reasons why the rumoured meeting took place.

It would be no surprise if an Apple-Tesla merger do come into play however, because in the recent years, Apple has been acquiring hardware and software companies which they deem vital to their core business, particularly for future growth. With that said, Tesla would make a perfect base for the people at Apple to finally work on making the dream of Jobs come true.
