The hot hatch pool will be having a new addition soon, and this time around, Nissan will be throwing in their latest Nissan Pulsar Nismo. The Pulsar Nismo has set its target on the likes of the Volkswagen Golf GTI, SEAT Leon Cupra, Renault Megane RS and the Ford Focus ST. Very ambitious, this Pulsar Nismo. To prove that the Pulsar Nismo isn’t all look and no go, Nissan is likely to lap the Pulsar Nismo around the famous green hell, Nürburgring.

Sources has indicated that there will likely be two variants of the Pulsar Nismo, with the first being the Pulsar Nismo S, and a hotter Pulsar Nismo RS. The former is said to produce about 247 hp while the latter will produce around 275 hp. Not shabby indeed, since number like those will make current hot hatches like the Focus ST shiver. Both variants will offer uprated suspension, bigger brakes, a lower ride height as well as a retuned steering and gearbox.

To keep the Pulsar Nismo RS above the regular Nismo S (If you can call a Pulsa Nismo regular), it will offer a front limited slip differential and a reinforced bodyshell. No word on engine choices as yet, but judging from the market trend, it is likely that Nissan will offer a turbocharged engine, albeit on a lower cubic capacity.

Andy Palmer, Nissan’s Chief Planning Officer and Executive Vice President said, ““The focus is on accessible excitement [with Nismo], but we also need to demonstrate we can go head-to-head with the best in the business.”

The Nissan Pulsar Nismo is expected to make a debut during this year’s Paris Motor Show, and probably will reach dealers in 2016.

From the proportion, looks like it shares same platform with Renault Clio RS.
