AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad, has just launched AXA Drive to the Malaysian market. This is an application that judges your driving style and awards you with points for safe driving.
Mr Emmanuel Nivet, Chief Executive Officer of AXA Affin, was at the launch of their new app. “AXA Drive is our innovative way to inculcate safe driving behaviour among drivers in Malaysia,” he said. Not surprisng, considering that Malaysia has been named as among the top 25 most dangerous countries for road users, with 30 fatalities per 100,000 individuals.
The app has built-in tips to prevent accidents, which users can view after each journey. At the moment, the AXA Drive app has been downloaded 400,000 times worldwide, and in Singapore , the app has been downloaded 15,000.
The app isn’t just for private car owners, as commercial vehicles like lorries and buses are also encouraged from installing the AXA Drive app to improve their driving style.
