McLaren teases world of a new model for Geneva – What could the ‘650S’ be?

McLaren just recently released a teaser of their upcoming model set for launch in Geneva Motor Show next month. There is barely any words of detail about it and it is only itching our minds thinking of what is coming up next from this British Supercar maker.

Dubbed as the ‘650S’ – it is safe to say that it will probably be packing 650bhp from what we think is derived by the 3.8-litre Twin-Turbo V8 that we are familiar with from the McLaren 12C. At the same time; we are quite convinced that this isn’t McLaren’s new baby-supercar.. the P13 as that model is still in the works.

All McLaren mentioned about the 650S was  – “it takes learnings from both the 12C as well as the sell-out McLaren P1 and will be positioned between the two on McLaren Automotive’s supercar grid”.

After a little research – it is believed that this model is McLaren’s answer to the 458 Speciale. A much more sought after, track focused and enlightened version of the already very fast 12C. We are looking forward to this. The 12C is an excellent car and a hotter version of it might just spark our interest even more!
