Although the next Porsche GT3 RS is said to be ditching the manual transmission, it still excites the fans in knowing how this next hardcore Porsche will be like. And in the latest development of the 991 RennSport, a couple of leaked patent pictures of the GT3 RS now gives us a better look in the finer details of this German supercar.
In what is basically an extreme version of the GT3, the GT3 RS will bear substantial aerodynamic upgrades which in the picture suggests a rear wing, larger splitter and diffuser units and a double bubble roof. The flared wheel arches also suggest that the GT3 RS will be fitted with fatter tires. Weight-shedding will also be a key factor for the GT3 RS, leaving what is necessary to stay in the car, while a roll cage will come as standard.
As for the powertrain, no information has been shared except for the PDK transmission talk. However, rumours suggest that there might be a possibility that the new GT3 RS will be turbocharged for a heftier punch, due to the appearance of those large vents in front of those rear wheel arches.
