To showcase their exclusive personalization program, Audi will be bringing the new RS7 Dynamic Edition to the 2014 New York Motor Show. However, this is not like any typical RS7 as like the name suggests, since the Dynamic Edition will bear a serious list of optional extras and a price tag that supersedes a stock R8.
Priced at a jaw-dropping USD 146,045 (RM 473,112), it is pricier than a standard R8 and is USD 41,145 (RM 133,289) more than a regular RS7. Now what exactly did Audi include in this Dynamic Edition for them to put such a price tag for this RS7?
For starters, it comes with a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser and engine cover, a sports exhaust system, and a set of 21-inch gloss black alloys housing the Tornado Red brake calipers. There are not many changes made to the interior, but the black Valcona leather seats, carbon fiber trim, Crimson Red seatbelts and contrast stitching sure gave an exclusive touch to the car.
Also fitted to the Dynamic Edition is a DRC suspension that “utilizes three-stage adjustable dampers that are hydraulically cross-linked and integrated into the Audi drive select system along with the standard rear sport differential for maximum performance driving”.
Under the hood is still what you will find in the standard RS7, where the twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine churns out 560-horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
