Sunday was a very hot day for the racers, as Thomas Fjordbach of Taiwan Top Speed Racing in the Ferrari 458 Challenge gotten into limp mode. Due to that, Thomas was overtaken by other guys on the main straights. Even after returning to the pits and resetting the system, the team suffered a DNF due to mechanical problems the Ferrari 458 Challenge plagued. “It was disappointing not to finish and keep out strong podium run this year alive,” said Thomas.

With Round 7 winners Frank Yu, Davide Rizzo and Rob Bell incurring penalty, this motivated Mok Weng Sun of Clearwater Racing to challenge them. “The game plan at the beginning of the race was to stay within five seconds of him because we knew that they had nine seconds extra during the pit stop,” said Mok.
Davide Rizzo managed a respectable 3rd position on Round 8.
