VW gone berserk with the new Design Vision GTI concept

Some may remember, about 6 years ago Volkswagen revealed a car, that fitted a W12 engine from their top of the range Phaeton. Which car? Indeed, it was the Mk5 Golf GTI. Every year at Worthersee, Volkswagen will realease an ‘out of this world’ concept to keep their fans happy and entertained. And this year, this is what they’ve done.

Welcome everyone to the Design Vision GTI concept. Based on the new Golf Mk7 that won numerous awards, the exterior has been put through a series of plastic surgery, creating a wide-bodied hatch back. Its an evolution from the W12 Golf, with its flared wheel arches, bigger wheels and EPICSTANCE. The interior has also been revised, giving a more driver focused orientation. Fitted with deeply bolstered seats and alcantara-everywhere to give exceptional grip, this concept is absolutely awesome.

Even the door-handles are made out of nylon-loop, just like ones you find on hardcore Porsches.

To fit its extreme looks, Volkswaged has fitted a 3.0litre V6 twin-turbo under the hood, which is good for a ZEROTOHUNDRED time of 3 seconds and all the way to a top speed of 186mph(300km/h). All the power is thrown on to the tarmac via, a four-wheel drive system mated to a dual-clutch transmission. A VW signature.

VW pushes the boundaries, to show what they can do, when they let their imagination go wild. Although the Golf W12 was even more mad, this is right up there. This is only 1 of the few cars VW has planned to bring to Worthersee, so stay tuned for more ‘VW madness’.
