Tesla Model S is the Best-Selling Car in Norway for the First Weeks of September!

Although Tesla only makes a small selection of cars which are environmentally-friendly, their name is well-known across the globe for their noble move. But Tesla is still trying hard to find customers from all over as apparently the green movement has yet to kick in the minds of the people properly. Surprisingly, Tesla has found a country where the sales of their Model S outgun the others, and that country is Norway.

Why Norway? This is because countries with low population and a not-so-huge demand for new cars can display some interesting developments in sales, especially when a new model that fits their taste is launched. With the chance to outsell any other model regardless of the price or fuel type, the Tesla Model S became Norway’s best-selling car during the first two weeks of September.

Between the days of 1 to 16 of September, records show that Tesla managed to sell 322 Model S sedans in Norway. And to put it into perspective, Volkswagen only managed to sell 256 conventionally-powered Golf. And while EVs have a total market share of 9.1-percent, 6.2-percent is all taken by the American car itself.

The electric car craze has yet to hit Asia and while we have accepted hybrids in our culture, it might take a bit more time for them to be properly used on our roads. But if they do make their way here, which model do you think will sell the most?
