Team FXPrimus Aylezo Finishes Second in the Pro-Am Category, Marking their First Podium in Shanghai!

As the gap between the Qualifying session and Race 1 was not that far off, team FXPrimus Aylezo still kept their game faces on to break the streak of bad luck they suffered back in Round 1. Learning from their past experience, they will be more cautious on the circuit, but change to attack mode when necessary.

Starting the race at fifth position on the grid, Dilantha, taking his usual role of the first driver wasted no time in improving the team’s position. Just after the first corner on the first lap, he managed to pass three cars, earning him the second place overall. But the other competitors were also eyeing for a spot on the podium, which saw one opponent claiming the second spot. As the race went on, the team’s Super Trofeo Bull went down two more places, but that was as far as they go as Dilantha managed to properly defend the fifth position until he passed the wheels to Zen.

With a clean and flawless driver change benefiting the team, Zen carried on the mighty charge initiated by Dilantha. When they rejoined the race, the team was at sixth overall and fourth in the class. Being so close to the podium spot, Zen tried to push the car harder but the poor circuit conditions made the car twitchier than before.

He did however managed to pass the car in front of him, giving team FXPrimus Aylezo a shining hope to secure their first podium in Shanghai International Circuit. As the race went on, the team was being aggressively pursued by car No.82, forcing him to defend the position rather than making a move. However, car No.82 started to make mistakes on the final part of the race, and at the same time Zen’s aggressive driving brought the team closer in securing the second place finish.

As if the race was not dramatic enough, Zen took the risky chance of jumping into the last corner on the final lap, allowing him to take the second place. He then brought the car to the finish line with half a car distance from the pursuing opponent.

The team was obviously ecstatic with the finish and this had definitely lifted their spirits to face the final showdown of Round 5 taking place the next day.
