We don’t usually come across a ‘camo’ed-up’ cars in Malaysia like in Europe – and its rather amusing to actually encounter it from my experience. Over the weekend, coming back from a photoshoot towards Shah Alam, I spotted this half camouflaged blue object, which looks like the upcoming Proton Preve Hatchback.
Yes – there has been millions of photos flying around the internet, but I have to admit that the car is turning out to look quite handsome. Or perhaps its the rather interesting paint job.
From the looks of it, its no doubt a test mule – which is still running pre-production testing but the car looks almost complete. In fact, it was running quite fast too, chasing it up to speeds that I can’t mention publicly. Proton has mentioned a couple of months ago that they’ll be debuting a compact model in Q1 2014, so that’s probably the date we all should be looking at for the upcoming Preve Hatchback. No names confirmed yet either.
It was an interesting experience to come across a funny looking object in your travels. And like I mentioned earlier, we are not as lucky to come across working prototypes like in Europe – especially the Nurburgring where numerous car manufacturers constantly testing their pre-production vehicles. Have you ever come across a test mule before?
