Nasim Sdn Bhd’s continued expansion exercise saw the opening of the largest Peugeot Blue Box out-side of the Klang Valley in Butterworth, representing the first out of 7 outlets planned to be launched by Nasim in 2013 and also takes the opportunity to unveil the 308 Griffe (Claw).
Taking up an area of roughly 28,000 square-foot, the 3S (Sales, Service and Spare parts) facility is owned and operated by CS Euro Auto Sdn Bhd. that required an investment of RM4 million to bring the Butterworth facility up to standard and can serve other customers located in Perai, Bukit Mertajam, Nibong Tebal, Kepala Batas, Permatang Pauh and Kulim.
The Peugeot Blue Box in Butterworth comes fully equipped with four lounges, a mini-theatre entertainment room, 6 service bays allowing for a 25 car capacity on a daily basis.
Following the launch, Nasim also took the opportunity to unveil the new Peugeot 308 Griffe Limited Edition to join the 308 Turbo and VTi variants currently available. The Griffe now comes with directional smoked bi-xenon headlamps with auto-levelling and washers, a carbon fibre effect bodykit, 17″ dark Stromboli alloy wheels and a front grill accented by chrome strips.
Inside the cabin, the Griffe receives a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel with three chrome inserts and red stitching accents and a sporty semi-bucket seats. Not stopping there, the gear-knob has also been wrapped in leather along with the , handbrake and centre console armrest with red stitching accenting them all as well, including the special “Griffe” carpet mats.
Day-time Running Lights (DRLs) have also been thrown into the mix, as well as a Peugeot GTi rear spoiler, a panoramic roof with an electronically controlled retractable blind, sporty white instrument dials, premium leather and fabric interior, aluminium-finished door handles, aluminium-finished floor pedals, automatic dual-zone air-conditioning, USB and Bluetooth functionality and rear passenger air-conditioning vents.
Beneath the hood lies the 1.6L Turbo High Pressure (THP) heart of the Griffe with direct injection that provides 156bhp and 240Nm of torque while mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with tiptronic and sport mode.
The Griffe has also been graced with 6-SRS airbags should the unfortunate occur, but to help you avoid such an occurrence would be the Griffe’s Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
For all that, the Griffe gets lapped with an on-the-road price tag of RM132,888 and has it available in Bianca White, Shark Grey and Babylon Red and a five-year warranty with unlimited mileage.
