With the new Corvette Stingray now leaving people drooling for its alluring looks and awesome power, it will only be a matter of time before we see them snatched by those that could actually afford its hefty price tag. But that does not mean those without deep pockets are left without tasting a piece of the Stingray’s action as good guy Polyphony is bringing this new American muscle right into the comforts of your home.
That’s right. Starting January 14, Gran Turismo 5 owners will be able to experience the power and handling of all new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray as it is available for download from the PlayStation Store for free!
“The Polyphony team has had an unforgettable experience getting to know the Corvette Stingray, inside and out, and bringing it into Gran Turismo 5. We are excited to share our experience with fans and let them feel, explore and drive the Corvette in a way that was not possible, until now,” said Kazunori Yamauchi, president of Polyphony Digital Inc.
The players might have got a sneak peak of how the new Corvette will be through the camouflaged prototype introduced in November last year, but the real deal will bathe them with a sea of spectacular details inside out. Packed with 450-horsepower and 450 lb/ft of torque, the 2014 Stingray could accelerate from 0-100 in less than four seconds and is also said to be the most fuel-efficient Corvette ever, making about 26 mpg (11 kml).
