Keeping themselves calm and composed after their first win in the series, team FXPrimus Aylezo was prepared to tackle the second race of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series 2013 Round 4 at Fuji Speedway. Starting Race 2 in sixth position from the grid, the team would have to fight hard to secure a position on the podium.
As the circuit soaked up the temperature from the searing sun, the Race 2 for Round 4 kicked off with Dilantha taking the wheel as the first driver. Race 2 proved to be a challenging hurdle for the team as they dropped two places into eighth in the early leg of the race. But determined in securing a better finish, Dilantha managed to reclaim the sixth spot and defending it until the driver change.
The challenge however was far from over. Race 2 saw a couple of incidents that had retired some competitors and even a pile up that required the deployment of the safety car. The team’s No.69 car was also hit, forcing Zen to drive with a substantial off-alignment to the front of the car. Sensing that the car was not running in its optimum condition, he backed off for about a lap; before realizing that he could actually push the car further.
Keeping the foot hard on the throttle, Zen overtook the remaining competitors to secure in a dramatic second position. Considering that the car was not running in 100-percent condition, team FXPrimus Aylezo was more than grateful with the results. The team finished in third position overall, and is already eyeing to redeem themselves at Shanghai on Round 5.
