The Lamborghini Veneno Takes the Stage at Geneva in its Physical Form!

To be honest, I actually had my doubts when the pictures of the ridiculously and radically styled Lamborghini Veneno started to surface over the net. Although it may still have that Lambo-ish DNA in its design, it may just be an elaborate hoax of some expert renderers taking advantage of the hype surrounding this year’s Geneva Motor Show. But all those doubts are now diminished as this ultra-exclusive supercar made its physical appearance at the motor show just recently.

Made to commemorate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary, the Veneno looks like something Darth Vader would drive in Star Wars. The combination of sharp lines and vents all over the car gives it a menacing look, and both the massive rear wing and headlights somehow makes it look like a contender in Le Mans’ LMP1 class.

While the 6.5-liter V12 engine lifted from the Aventador now produces 740-horsepower, it is not only raw power that gives the Veneno the edge. Constructed mainly out of carbon-fiber-reinforced-polymer or CFRP, the whole car only weighs 1,450kg, 125kg lighter than the Aventador which it is based on. With that, the Veneno gets a 0-100 dash in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 354km/h.

No information were given on whether this monster will be allowed prowling for victims on roads, or will only be spending its life on the tracks like the Sesto Elemento. But with a price tag of £3.1 million (RM 16.8 million), someone would be very brave to actually take it out from their own driveway and onto the streets.
