The Lambo Sesto Elemento is a Go!

Looking back at Lamborghini’s Sesto Elemento, it is almost unbelievable that the concept car was unveiled two years ago at the 2010 Paris Motor Show and yet still looks astonishing and futuristic. Although Lamborghini had already wow the crowds with its radical looks, they continued to stun the crowd even more with the announcement of putting the Sesto Elemento into a limited run production.

Like the Reventon, there will only be 20 of such specimens available for grabs, and it is not a surprise that all of them had already been sold despite in being a track-only machine. With the production run now kicking in, the 999kg supercar will be produced in a new Pre-Series Center at Lamborghini’s headquarters over in Sant’Agata, where a department is specifically created for limited-run cars that require extra attention than cars like the Gallardo or the Aventador.

And the cars going to the lucky customers will be almost identical to the concept they have seen at Paris earlier on, with the unique interior being maintained to retain its outlandishness. Sporting a matte carbon fiber finish with dashes of red accents, the Sesto Elemento is the lightest production car Lamborghini had ever produced.

Coupled up with the 570-horsepower engine from the Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, this lightweight concept is able to squeeze out a power-to-weight ratio of 1.75 pounds per horsepower.
