Members of the media gathered to witness the opening of the first Oris Island Boutique located on the ground floor of the Centre Court of the 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing), where appreciation was shown towards Shila Amzah, winner of the Asian Wave competiton in China, Zulfahmi Khairuddin’s podium finishes in the Moto3 GP for 2012, and Hasihin Sanawi and Mohammad Ziyad Zolkefli’s medal wins at the London Paralympics.

The new Oris Island Boutique is meant to provide convenience for their customers and visitors alike, allowing them gaze upon the range of Oris timepieces available.

For the moment, the Oris Island Boutique located at 1 Utama is currently the first of seven outlets planned to be opened, with the other six to open their showcase over the next three years in major malls throughout Malaysia.

During the launch, and following a very entertaining lion dance, Paralympians Hasihin Sanawi and Mohammad Ziyad Zolkefli, singer Shila Amzah, and Moto3 GP racer Zulfahmi Khairuddin, were recognized for their achievements with Raymond Tan, General Manager of Oris Malaysia providing them each with an Oris timepiece,

At this point in time, the new Oris achievers now join Olympians Pandelela Rinong and Azizulhasni Awang, together with internationally renowned violinist Dennis Lau, who were also presented with an Oris watch each for their achievements in September last year.

However, Oris also ran a Facebook contest where six lucky people would be able to attend and meet the icons in person. Other guests at the star-studded event included Dennis Lau.
