Honda UK’s Opening Pre-Orders for the New NSX Supercar!

Would you place an order for a car, even if it has yet to see an official unveiling? Some might think more than twice of even doing so, but what if it is a highly-anticipated car, like maybe the new NSX? Apparently, Honda UK is feeling really confident about their new upcoming sports car that they have decided to open a pre-order bank for this second-generation hybrid NSX.

This surprising move, according to Honda is because the NSX “is already receiving unprecedented demand” over in the United Kingdom, and potential buyers could simply place a deposit of £5,000 (RM 23,200) to be among the firsts in getting behind the wheels of the NSX, estimated to arrive in British showrooms somewhere in 2015.

“We are really pleased with the interest we have already seen for the new NSX. We are still two years away from the launch of the car and yet we have received over 20 deposits and that is before we have even announced prices or seen the final production car. With this process in place we are confident demand will remain strong and early hand raisers can now visit any Honda dealership in the UK and place a deposit”, said Phil Crossman, the Managing Director of Honda UK.

The new NSX will be powered by a mid-mounted, direct-injected V6 engine paired to Honda’s new Sport Hybrid All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) drivetrain. The car will also be having two Electric Motor Drive Unit to generate negative torque on one of the front tires to improve cornering.
