Honda Malaysia to Unveil their 4th Gen Honda CR-V!

Honda Malaysia is keen to unveil their latest SUV offering that comes in the form of a Comfortable Runabout Vehicle, and if you haven’t guessed it yet, it’s their all new 4th Generation Honda CR-V that has the promise to deliver some class leading spaciousness, innovative features and functionality, improved fuel efficiency as well as enhanced safety.

The new CR-V hides under its hood a 2.0L SOHC 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine that generates up to 155bhp at 6,500rpm and 190Nm of torque at 4,300rpm – an increase of 5bhp over its predecessor, and is coupled to an electronically controlled 5-speed automatic transmission.

The new CR-V will come equipped with an ECON mode to help you save a little on fuel usage, Hill Start Assist, an intuitive full-TFT intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID), a reverse camera, Cruise Control and a multi function steering wheel.

The cabin’s rear now comes with rear air conditioner vents and the front door pockets may been slightly enlarged for greater convenience and comfort for both driver and passengers, while interior spaciousness and practicality is being deemed by Honda as outstanding and versatile; especially in the cargo area where the 60/40 rear seats are now conveniently equipped with a ‘one-motion’ fold – and fold flat it will, according to Honda.

In terms of safety, the up-coming CR-V will feature a new Motion Adaptive Electronic Power Steering (MA-EPS) that works with the vehicle’s Stability Assist (VSA) to help minimize under and over steering. The new CR-V will also feature Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Dual SRS airbags and side airbags with OPDS.

However, should the unfortunate happen, the new CR-V’s chassis has been engineered with G-Force Control Technology (G-CON) to help distribute the force of impact away from the cabin while its Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) helps to absorb the impact at the same time.

Currently, there’s no mention as to how much the new CR-V will be costing us Malaysians, stay tuned till next week once it’s unveiled!
