Go Crazy with the 2014 Nissan GT-R Track Edition

Nissan will never get enough in making the GT-R into a fearsome machine that will stand out as a supercar killer for years to come, and the one making a debut at the 2013 Chicago Motor Show is just a perfect example of what they can do. Aimed for those who are looking for a serious track machine which could also perform steadily as a daily driver, the new 2014 GT-R Track Edition is set to rock their world.

To show how close this new Track Edition is to a competition spec car, the rear seats are ditched out for a lower curb weight, aside from having stiffer suspension setup, and bolstered front bucket seats to firmly hug the occupants when the going gets twisty. Developed at the Nurburgring, the Track Edition also gets an integrated carbon fiber front splitter with brake cooling ducts and special Bilstein DampTronic gas pressure shock absorbers.

Under the hood, it may still have the same twin-turbo V6 engine with 545-horsepower and 463 lb/ft of torque, but the upgrades will help to unleash the full potential of this impressive power plant. And to distinguish this new monster from the others, the Track Edition sports a lightweight dry carbon fiber rear spoiler and special metallic black six-spoke RAYS forged lightweight wheels wrapped with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tires.

There will only be 150 of such examples being made, and sales will commence this May where the buyer will have five color options to pick from; Deep Blue Pearl, Jet Black, Solid Red,  Gun Metallic and Pearl White.
